In 2018, World Resources Institute (WRI) launched the Land Accelerator 国产吃瓜黑料, the world鈥檚 first training and mentorship program targeted specifically toward businesses that restore degraded forests, farmland and pasture. To support the AFR100 Initiative鈥檚 goal of restoring 100 million hectares of land by 2030, the Land Accelerator provides entrepreneurs across 国产吃瓜黑料 with mentorship and networking opportunities, technical training and workshops to build up their storytelling and pitching skills. <p></p> Participants leave the program more empowered to connect with potential investors so that they can take their business to the next stage of growth. The program has attracted nearly 1,400 applicants in 国产吃瓜黑料 since 2018, and its 104 alumni from 34 countries report that they have created 11,200 jobs, worked with 56,000 farmers and restored 127,000 hectares. <p></p>What does the program look like? In 2021, WRI and our partners at AFR100 and Fledge took a novel approach to the Land Accelerator 国产吃瓜黑料. We expanded the size of our cohort to the top 100 entrepreneurs from across the continent to join us for an all-virtual business accelerator. ARM Labs
Labs by ARM 2.0 is designed to engage Nigerian post-MVP fintech startups in a series of activities aimed at exponentially advancing the growth of their companies within 12 weeks, while ensuring their investment-readiness. Selected startups will be provided with financial investment, distribution and access to investors. <mark>Participants are provided with office space, access to asset management firm ARM鈥檚 network and carefully selected mentors from the fintech industry who will provide hands-on support and valuable introductions.</mark> Applications for the second cohort of the accelerator closed on 30 December. The College of Science and Technology was established in November 1995 by Decree No. 95.046. This college has a triple mission: training and research in the fields of science and technology, in addition to expert services. Libya is standing at the beginning of an exciting era of opportunity. A time when the foundations can be laid to build a progressive, globally connected nation by unleashing the skill, creativity and ingenuity of the Libyan people. TEC is short for Tatweer Entrepreneurship Campus, a 3 year initiative between Tatweer Research and UNDP with European Union funding. <p></p> TEC program is unique in nature and has never been done in Libya before. It is laying down the groundwork for the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Libya. TEC aims to empower Libyan entrepreneurs through providing information on actors in the ecosystem, training, consulting, office space and financial support. <p></p> TEC also aims to affect change on the university level through incorporating entrepreneurship education in the curriculum and on the government level through business regulation reform. <p></p> TEC鈥檚 end goal is that by 2020 to graduate 30 startups from the program and to inspire other 60 startups indirectly, a total of 90 startups over the next three years creating 1000 value-adding jobs in the Libyan economy. <p></p> Services TEC Incubator <br> <mark>Will provide start-ups with the support, expertise, services and tools needed to succeed in the market.
